Varroa Bottom Board AM / DNM V2 (Rear) – Plastic Deck for Varroa Monitoring
The Varroa Bottom Board AM / DNM V2 (Rear) is designed for Adamcova Míra (AM) 39x24 and DNM polyurethane hives and allows effective monitoring of natural Varroa mite fall using a rear removable plastic deck for Varroa monitoring.
The bottom board provides good ventilation, easy hive management, and helps maintain a stable hive climate. The polyurethane construction offers excellent thermal insulation, supporting colony development and reducing winter food consumption.

Usage Recommendations
Varroa Monitoring
Insert the plastic deck from the rear side to monitor mite fall and hive debris.
Winter Period
Using the plastic deck helps reduce ventilation and supports colony development during colder months.
Summer Period
Remove or partially open the deck during hot weather for improved airflow.
Painting Instructions
Polyurethane is not UV-resistant. To extend the lifespan:
- Expose the hive to sunlight for 1–2 years
- Lightly sand the surface
- Apply UV-stable paint
A properly painted hive can maintain its finish for up to 10 years.
Important Note
Small bubbles, surface marks, or minor visual imperfections do not affect functionality and are not considered defects.
