Plastic 1-Frame Feeder for Langstroth 1/2 (137 mm)
This plastic feeder, designed for Langstroth 1/2 (137 mm), fits perfectly within the height of the Langstroth 1/2 super. It is ideal for winter feeding of production bee colonies with sugar syrup and can also be used to feed swarms and packages. For nucs, sugar paste or sugar-honey dough is recommended. The suggested syrup ratio is 3:2.
These 1-frame feeders are practical and efficient for feeding bee colonies. The interior surface is textured to provide better grip for bees. For weaker colonies and nucs, a float is recommended to reduce the risk of drowning.
